Social Security Benefit
Information for 2008 |

The Social Security
Administration has announced
guidelines on Social Security
and Supplemental Security Income
for 2008. Changes take effect in
January, including a 2.3 percent
Cost-of-Living Adjustment and an
increase in maximum earnings
subject to Social Security tax.

HIPAA
form. Your authorization allows
your health insurance carrier or
HMO to release your protected
health information to a person
or organization that you choose.

Phones For Life
(cell phones,
chargers and batteries collected at Sen.
Williams' district offices) will collect
phones, program them with 911 and
distribute them to older adults and
domestic violence victims.
Verizon,
Sprint
and T-Mobile
will
collect phones at their stores, program
them with 911 and send them to women's
shelters.
Nextel
accepts used cell phones
and donates them to the Red Cross.
Cingular
sends used cell phones
to be recycled and/or disposed in an
eco-friendly way.

constituents, Sen.

provide an
individual, sports
team or organization
with a citation or
resolution from the
Pennsylvania State
Senate in
recognition of
outstanding service,
major milestones,
25th or 50th wedding
anniversaries,
birthdays for people
90 or older (one per
person, every five
years), Boy Scout
Eagle Awards, Girl
Scout Gold Awards,
or major athletic
accomplishments by a
team or individual
athletes.
Citations and resolutions should be requested at least three weeks in
advance of when
needed.
