WILLIAMS ANNOUNCES 17th ANNUAL PENNSYLVANIA SENIOR ARTS FESTIVAL HARRISBURG, March 13, 2003 – State Senator Connie Williams today announced that the 17th annual Pennsylvania Senior Arts Festival will be held May 19 through June 19, 2003. The Senior Arts Festival is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the artwork of older professional and amateur Pennsylvania artists, Senator Williams (D-Montgomery/Delaware) said. The Arts Festival is open to any resident of Pennsylvania 60 years of age or older. Entries will be displayed May 19 through June 19 in the Capitol East Wing in Harrisburg. An independent jury will evaluate and judge the entries before the Capitol show opens. All entries must be received between April 7 and April 23. A $5.00 non-refundable check made out to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania must accompany entry. Entries should be shipped or personally delivered to the Pennsylvania Council on Aging, 555 Walnut Street, 5th Floor, Harrisburg, PA 17101. If delivering an entry in person, please arrive between 10 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Senator Williams also said that she will transport to Harrisburg any piece of art that she can carry. If interested in this option, please deliver the artwork to the King of Prussia Office with your name, address, and telephone number clearly marked along with the $5.00 entry fee check.
