WILLIAMS ANNOUNCES GRANT FOR METHACTON SCHOOL DISTRICT

HARRISBURG, April 29, 2002 - State Senator Constance H. Williams, (D-Montgomery/Delaware), today announced that Methacton School District, Montgomery County, will soon be awarded a $1,000 grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.

"I am pleased that this grant has been awarded because it will ultimately benefit the quality of teaching and learning in the Methacton School District," Williams said.

The Environmental Education Grant Program has allocated the money to support Arcola Intermediate School’s teacher training efforts. The grant money will to used to provide resources, including educational materials, transportation costs or teacher stipends.
