WILLIAMS ANNOUNCES HOST MUNICIPAL INSPECTOR GRANT FOR PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP HARRISBURG, June 14, 2002 - - State Senator Connie Williams today announced that a grant will soon be awarded to Plymouth Township, Montgomery County, under the Host Municipal Inspector Grant Program. The program is sponsored by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. The grant of $1,614.06 will be used to reimburse 50 percent of the cost of employing a host municipal inspector. "I am pleased that Plymouth Township has received this grant to assist in hiring an outstanding host municipal inspector," Williams (D-Montgomery/Delaware) said. The new inspector will go along with DEP's inspectors to check on how our facilities are complying with state environmental laws and regulations. "The inspector will specifically ensure that Montenay Montgomery LP, which is a trash-to-steam-heat incinerator facility in Plymouth Township, is complying with environmental laws and regulations," Williams said. |
