EAST NORRITON TOWNSHIP RECEIVES GRANT TO HELP PURCHASE WORK ZONE TRAFFIC CONTROL EQUIPMENT HARRISBURG, June 16, 2003 - State Senator Connie Williams (D-Montgomery/Delaware) today announced that East Norriton Township recently received a $5,000 grant to help purchase an electronic work zone traffic control message board which will be used to control traffic within the township’s road construction zones. “East Norriton Township experiences a significant amount of pass-through traffic and congestion on a daily basis,” Williams said. “The message board will warn motorists of danger as they approach construction zones and reduce the risk of injury to township employees who work in those zones.” The Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development awarded the funding through its community-development projects program. |
