CONSHOHOCKEN LITTLE LEAGUE RECEIVES GRANT FOR FIELD IMPROVEMENTS

HARRISBURG, June 16, 2003 - State Senator Connie Williams (D-Montgomery/Delaware) today announced that the Conshohocken Little League recently received a $5,000 grant to help replace an old backstop and dugouts at the major league field located at 10th Avenue and Freedley Street.

“The new backstop will be higher to prevent foul balls from hitting T-ball players whose games are played on adjoining fields,” Williams said.

“I am pleased that the Conshohocken Little League received this grant to help make their games safer and more enjoyable.”

The Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development awarded the funding through its community-development projects program.
