LOG ON AND OBTAIN A BLUE RIBBON PASSPORT TO PA’S ABUNDANCE

HARRISBURG, JULY 1 – State Sen. Connie Williams reminds families that are planning summer trips to consider the rich abundance offered within Pennsylvania’s borders.

“From state and county fairs to wonderful wines, fresh produce, farm markets, or vacations on an operational farm, there is so much to do and see in Pennsylvania,” Williams said. “Whether you are planning a day trip, or a vacation of a week or more, I encourage everyone to consider the wealth of opportunities available within the state’s borders.”

This year, the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture is making a concerted effort to get the word out about Pennsylvania agritourism – a combination of the state’s two leading industries, agriculture and tourism.

Williams has obtained copies of “A Consumer’s Guide to PA Farm Markets, Wineries, Farm Stays and Fairs,” which will be available through her district offices in King of Prussia and in Havertown.
