GRANT TO ASSIST LOCAL RECYCLING EFFORTS

HARRISBURG, JULY 29 – State Sen. Connie Williams acknowledged the importance of recycling to the environment in announcing Delaware County would receive a state grant to aid in recycling efforts.

The county will receive a $22,692 grant to aid in its recycling efforts.

“It cannot be stressed enough – recycling makes a difference in efforts to protect the environment,” Williams said. “This is an easy way to be a good environmental steward. All it takes is a few minutes to separate your trash, but those few minutes will make a difference in the life-span of landfills.”

The Department of Environmental Protection awarded the grant.
