2007 SENIOR EXPO PLANNED

HARRISBURG, SEPT. 14 – State Sen. Connie Williams is pleased to announce that Senior Expo 2007 has been planned and will be offered in less than a month.

The 2007 Senior Expo is planned for Thursday, Oct. 4th, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Plymouth Meeting Mall.

"The Senior Expo is a great opportunity for older adults to learn about a variety of federal, state, county and local programs that they can use," Williams said.

Williams' annual Senior Expo continues to be a very popular event, providing information on programs and opportunities that people can use.

"It truly is one-stop shopping, which provides not only exhibits and information, but the opportunity for older adults to speak one-on-one with representatives of various groups and organizations," Williams said. "Those who attend can tailor the event to meet their own needs."

The event is free to all older adults in the 17th Senatorial District. Those who plan to attend are asked to RSVP to one of Williams’ offices – in King of Prussia at 610-992-9790 or in Havertown at 610-853-5433.

The Plymouth Meeting Mall is on Germantown Pike, a quarter mile west of the Turnpike/I-476 Interchange. People are asked to use the “Storehouse Furniture” entrance, across from the old Ikea.
