HARRISBURG, SEPT. 23 – One of the reasons state Sen. Connie Williams decided to seek public office was her desire to remove the barriers that stand between the people and their state government. This week, she took another step toward making state government more accessible by adding a new component to her Senate Web site.

“Each month I work with a Senate broadcast crew to produce a television show that features the latest state news,” Williams said. “The Pennsylvania Report offers insight into what is happening at the state Capitol and provides me a forum to talk about how new programs and changes in state law will impact the people who live in the 17th Senatorial District.”

The half-hour programs, which air on local cable channels throughout the month, are now available on Williams’ Web site at www.pasenate.com/cwilliams.

“I think this is a valuable addition to my Web site, which already provides helpful links to local, county and state sites, as well as news updates, photos from the district and the capitol, audio on various issues, information on upcoming events and slide shows of some recent events,” Williams said. “The Web site is a helpful tool that I encourage constituents with Internet access to use.”

According to Williams, the Web site augments the constituent services available through her district offices, which are located at 700 S. Henderson Road, Suite 100 A in King of Prussia and in the Manoa Shopping Center, Suite 39, 1305 W. Chester Pike in Havertown.

“If you live in the 17th Senatorial District and you have a question or concern about any state program, please don’t hesitate to contact my office,” Williams said. “I am here to help you.”
