GROWING THE LOCAL ECONOMY

Harrisburg, Oct. 22, 2003 – As the economy grows so does the need for secure and available information storage. This is the aim of a company that is moving its headquarters to Conshohocken, according to state Sen. Connie Williams.

IPR International, LLC, a leading provider of electronic data backup and recovery services and electronic record arching and retrieval is moving its headquarters to an 8,800 square-foot leased space in the Eight Tower Bridge building in Conshohocken and in doing so will create 32 new job and retain 26 existing jobs.

“During the information age, it is critical that companies have access to information, which is thought of as the intellectual assets of a company,” Williams said. “It is just as important that these assets be protected and in the computer age, when files can be lost with a click of a button and computer viruses are so prevalent, having a company that can protect files behind security walls so they can’t be touched, has become a necessity for many companies.”

In addition to moving its headquarters, the company also will relocate one of its data centers to Montgomery County to improve security and service levels for clients. The company is implementing a newly expanded service line, including a new electronic data archiving service designed to help organizations more efficiently manage the volume of records that must be maintained for long periods of time in order to remain compliant with various industry and governmental regulations.

To assist, the state provided financial assistance, including $96,000 in Job Creation Tax Credits and a $75,000 Opportunity Grant.
