TOWN HALL MEETING SLATED IN LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP

HARRISBURG, NOV. 3 – State Sen. Connie Williams will host a Town Hall Meeting in Lower Merion Township from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22 at the Senior Citizens Center of Ardmore, 117 Ardmore Ave., Ardmore.

During the meeting, residents of Lower Merion Township are invited to express their views, talk about their concerns, and learn how Williams’ office may be able to help them or their families.

“These town hall meetings are designed to provide all residents the opportunity to meet with me and with my staff and to talk about their concerns and ask questions,” Williams said. “I like this format, because it allows people to meet with me outside of an office setting. It also affords me the opportunity to let the community know what my office has to offer and to provide information on various state programs. These meetings are a great way for me to bring the services of my office to the community.”

Residents are encouraged to stop by even if they do not have a question or concern, and meet the senator.

“During these meetings, people can either speak to me as a group, or privately,” Williams said. “Many times, I get to meet residents that may not have otherwise contacted my office for assistance in the past. My staff and I can offer a wealth of information on state programs for children, students, adults and seniors. And, we can help people cut through the red tape to obtain the assistance they need.”

Refreshments will be provided during the town meeting.
