WILLIAMS POSTS FALL 2006 NEWSLETTER ONLINE

HARRISBURG, NOV. 14 – State Sen. Connie Williams announced that her Fall 2006 newsletter has been posted on her Web site and can be accessed at www.senatorconniewilliams.com. Printed copies also are available by mail upon request at her district offices and at the public libraries of the 17th Senatorial District by Monday, Nov. 20th.

“Using technology in this way will not only save taxpayer dollars, but also will ensure that everyone who wants to receive the newsletter has access to it," Williams said.

The latest newsletter contains information on changes to the minimum wage, an update on legislative initiatives and information on the ongoing debate over mercury, as well as a host of photos from various events around the 17th Senatorial District. It also contains information on a new form of identity theft that is occurring over the Internet and changes in the state's laws dealing with protection from abuse orders that are geared to protecting victims of domestic violence.

“I believe that we should begin to utilize the newest technology, especially if it saves taxpayer money,” Williams said. “I welcome comments from my constituents on using this distribution method. If constituents feel that the method didn’t meet their needs, I want to know.”

The newsletter is available on Williams’ Web site and can be found by clicking on Newsroom and highlighting newsletters. While constituents are on her site, Williams encourages them to take some time to explore.
