MONTGOMERY COUNTY RECEIVES STATE GRANT

 HARRISBURG, DEC. 10 – State Sen. Connie Williams announced that Montgomery County would receive a $31,011 state grant.

 The grant, awarded under the County Planning Grant Program, will be used to reimburse up to 80 percent of the costs to revise the county’s solid waste management plan.

 “Effective planning is key to creating a good quality of life,” Williams said. “I commend the county for continuing to update its various programs and working to improve the quality of life that we all enjoy.”

 The Department of Environmental Protection awarded the grant.
