PENNVEST INFORMATION EXCHANGE MEETINGS SCHEDULEDHARRISBURG, DEC. 10 – State Sen. Connie Williams encourages local government officials involved with applications for the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST) to schedule early to attend one of the Information Exchange meetings. Meetings will be held across the state and will focus on the Web-based payment request and disbursement process that will be implemented in 2005. “PENNVEST officials have said that these meetings will be especially useful to project sponsors that have not yet closed on their PENNVEST funding offer,” Williams said. “It will give officials the opportunity to have their questions answered directly by knowledgeable staff.” Representatives of approved projects, as well as individuals from the consulting community and contractors are being invited to participate. During the meetings, discussion will also center on updates to other PENNVEST non-point source initiatives. Staff from PENNVEST will provide an overview of how additional money is being made available through the program. Space at the meetings is limited. To reserve a spot, people are asked to contact Lou Ann Buffington at 717-787-8138 or by e-mail at lbuffingto@state.pa.us. Meetings begin with registration at 8:30 a.m. and adjourn at noon.
