WILLIAMS ANNOUNCES ONLINE PLUS LOAN APPLICATIONS

HARRISBURG, Dec. 11, 2001 – State Sen. Constance H. Williams today announced that the Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students (PLUS) application is now available on the AES (American Education Services) website.

"The online PLUS application process is a convenient and secure way to apply for a college loan," Williams said.

"I encourage families who are looking for ways to pay for post-secondary education to make use of this technology."

The website can guide an applicant through AES’s PLUS Pre-Approval application, which will give notification of approval within seconds.

Applicants can choose whether to print the application at home, sign it and mail it to AES, or the application can be sent electronically to AES, which will print it and mail it to the applicant for a signature. AES is a division of the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency.
