PHEAA releases "Moving on to Higher Education" handbook

HARRISBURG, Dec. 12, 2001 – State Sen. Constance H. Williams today announced that a handbook containing in-depth financial aid is available from the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA)

"Moving On To Higher Education is designed specifically for first-time financial aid applicants," Williams (D-Montgomery/Delaware) said. "In addition to explaining financial aid options and how to apply, the handbook also contains information to help families determine financial need and expected contributions from both parents and students.

"I encourage everyone considering post-secondary education to take advantage of the information," she said.

All Pennsylvania high schools will receive copies of Moving On To Higher Education for distribution to students. The book is also available from PHEAA by calling (717) 720-2511.
