DEC. 31 DEADLINE FOR MEDICARE OPEN ENROLLMENT NEARING

Harrisburg, Dec. 18, 2003 – State Sen. Connie Williams reminds constituents that the open enrollment period for 2004 Medicare options ends on Dec. 31.

“This is an important deadline to meet, if you want to join a Medicare HMO without facing any restrictions,” Williams said. “A number of the plans probably will continue to accept members throughout 2004, but others may choose to close enrollment.”

To assist constituents in choosing the right plans, Williams has obtained copies of a Department of Aging publication “Choosing a Medicare Managed Care Plan” and will distribute those through her offices at 700 S. Henderson Road, Suite 100A King of Prussia and at Manoa Shopping Center, Suite 39, 1305 West Chester Pike, Havertown.
